Past events - Cancer in Kids @ RCH - CIKA

This page will highlight some of the events that CIKA's volunteers have organised during the last few years. We are very proud of our contribution to funding research at the Royal Children's Hospital and extremely grateful to the many indivduals and organisations that have helped to make this possible.


2008 Events

The 2008 ball, held on Saturday 16th August, raised $92,300. A report can be found by clicking here.

The 2008 Wood days, which raised $16,000, took place on 15th and 16th November. Some pictures can be found by clicking here.



2009 Events

The 2009 Pooches in the Park Dog Show was once again held at the Flemington Neighbourhood House on Sunday 22nd March. It raised $2,824. Click here for more.

The 2009 Lab Day, held at the RCH on Sunday 31st May, provided an opportunity for our supporters to see for themselves the work that CIKA is funding thanks to their generosity. A short report appears in the July 2009 CIKA newsletter or click here for some photographs and a brief summary.

The 2009 Blue and Orange Ball was a great success thanks to the enormous amount of work put in by Cika President, Sandra Lehrer, and Vice president, Ellen Webb. Thank you Sandra and Ellen; you are awesome. A report and pictures can be seen by clicking here.

The first ever CIKA Art and Craft Show was held on Sunday 8 November at the Farnham Street Neighborhood Learning Centre, with ten stalls and a wide variety of merchandise. A report and pictures can be seen by clicking here.


2010 Events

The 2010 Blue and Orange Ball was the most successful yet. The final outcome is not yet known, but, thanks to an amazing effort by so many people, CIKA raised around $195,000 for research at the RCH. Well done everyone.
